1. Our Approach to Pest Management

Lotus Pest Control practices Integrated Pest Management (IPM) - a science-based approach that uses the least-toxic methods effective for each situation. We use EPA-registered pesticides applied by state-licensed applicators. Our goal is to control pest populations to acceptable levels while minimizing risk to people, pets, and the environment.

All products are applied per EPA-registered label directions by state-licensed technicians. The label is the law.

2. Products We Use

Depending on your service plan and the pest(s) being treated, our technicians may use products from the following list. Honest, one-line descriptions of what each product does and where we use it:

• Alpine WSG - non-repellent, indoor general pest treatment.
• LESCO CrossCheck Plus - exterior perimeter spray for general pests.
• Advion Ant Gel - targeted gel bait for ant colonies.
• Maxforce Complete - granular and gel bait for ants and roaches.
• Gentrol Point Source - insect growth regulator (IGR) for roaches and stored product pests.
• Tekko Pro - mosquito insect growth regulator (IGR).
• Inzecto traps - mosquito attractant and capture traps.
• Talpirid - mole bait placed in active runways.
• Mole Scram - granular property barrier for mole pressure.
• Snake-A-Way - snake repellent perimeter treatment.
• Sluggo - iron-phosphate based slug and snail bait; pet-safer alternative.
• VoleX - non-toxic mechanical bait for voles.

Products are selected based on the target pest, treatment location (interior vs. exterior), and the conditions at your property. Your service ticket records the specific products and EPA registration numbers used at every visit; that record is available on request.

3. EPA Registration

All pesticide products we use are registered with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). We apply all products strictly according to their EPA-approved label.

Your technician documents the specific product name, EPA registration number, quantity, and application method for every treatment on your property. This record is available to you upon request via your customer portal or by contacting our office.

4. Re-Entry Intervals (REI)

A re-entry interval is the minimum time between treatment and when people and pets may safely re-enter treated areas. These intervals are set by the EPA and printed on every product label.

Your technician provides specific re-entry instructions at the time of service. Always follow their guidance and the product label.

5. Safety Precautions - Before Service

• Remove or cover food, dishes, pet bowls, and fish tanks before indoor treatment
• Keep children and pets away from treatment areas during and immediately after service
• Remove or move potted plants away from areas to be treated if directed by your technician
• Turn off fans and HVAC systems during interior treatment when directed
• Inform your technician of any individuals with chemical sensitivities, allergies, pregnancy, or medical conditions

6. Safety Precautions - After Service

• Do not wipe, mop, or wash treated surfaces until after the re-entry interval has passed and surfaces are fully dry
• Wash hands after handling items from treated areas during the re-entry period
• Keep pets off treated lawns until dry; wipe paws after returning to treated areas

7. Requesting Product-Specific Information

You have the right to know exactly what was applied to your property. You may request:

• Chemical application record for any service - available within 24 hours via your customer portal or by emailing [email protected]
• Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) for any product used - available upon request
• EPA product label for any product - publicly available at epa.gov

8. Restricted-Use Pesticides

Some applications may require restricted-use pesticides (RUPs), which can only be purchased and applied by certified applicators. If an RUP is used at your property, you will be notified in advance and a copy of the application record will be provided.

9. Environmental Responsibility

We take our environmental impact seriously:

• We avoid application to blooming plants to protect pollinators
• We do not apply products near storm drains, waterways, or bodies of water unless using EPA-approved aquatic-labeled products
• We use targeted application methods (crack & crevice, spot treatments, bait stations) to minimize pesticide use
• We properly dispose of unused product and empty containers per Missouri and Arkansas regulations

10. State Regulatory Compliance

Lotus Pest Control operates under the following licenses and complies with all applicable regulations:

• Missouri: Licensed by the Missouri Department of Agriculture, Pesticide Control Program
• Arkansas: Licensed by the Arkansas State Plant Board, Pesticide Division
• All technicians hold current state pesticide applicator licenses and required continuing education credits
