How the Program Works
Activity Inspection
We inspect the exterior, attic, crawlspace, and garage for droppings, runways, gnaw marks, and entry points to confirm whether you have Norway rats, roof rats, or mice.
Exterior Bait Stations
Locked, tamper-resistant stations with Contrac Blox bait go along the foundation and pressure zones. Inaccessible to kids, pets, and wildlife.
Interior Trapping
Inside the home we use enclosed Protecta snap traps and Provoke attractant gel, never loose bait where your family lives.
Follow-Up and Exclusion Notes
We return to service stations and remove catches, then document the entry points we found so you know exactly what to seal.
Signs You Have Rats, Not Mice
Rat droppings are capsule-shaped and up to three quarters of an inch long, much larger than mouse droppings. You may hear heavy movement in the attic at night, find gnaw marks on wood and wiring, or see burrow holes along the foundation.
Roof rats climb and enter through the attic. Norway rats burrow and enter at ground level. The inspection tells us which one you have, and the program is built around it.
Safe Around Kids and Pets
Every bait placement is inside a locked, tamper-resistant station. Interior work uses enclosed snap traps, not loose poison. Your technician documents every placement on your service ticket.
We never put rodenticide where a child, dog, or cat could reach it. That is the whole point of the stations.
Honest Expectations
Rats are neophobic: they avoid new objects, so stations can sit untouched for one to two weeks before activity starts. That is normal, and it is why follow-up visits are part of the program.
