The Pennsylvania Wood Cockroach is a native species that lives in forests under bark, in leaf litter, and in woodpiles. Males are strong fliers drawn to lights and frequently end up indoors during late spring and summer. Unlike German cockroaches, they do not breed or establish colonies inside homes.
